Rent payments

When is rent due?

Rent is due on a weekly/monthly basis and is payable in advance.

How do I pay my rent?

The most reliable and easiest way to pay your rent is to set up a standing order with your bank. A standing order form can be accessed by clicking here. All you need to do is complete the form and send it to your bank. If you have problems with the form just give your housing officer a call (020 8805 0548) or come into the office and we will help you.

If you prefer not to set up a standing order you can pay your rent by coming into the office. For details of office location and opening hours click here.

Incentives

If you pay your rent for a whole year by standing order you could gain £20 and if you pay your rent in advance and keep your account in credit you will be entered into a prize draw which is held every three months and you could win £100.

What do we use your rent for?

Your rent payments are used to maintain and repair your homes in decent condition.

What happens if I do not pay my rent?

Failure to pay your rent could lead to you losing your home. Lee Housing Association takes a robust approach to those who do not pay their rent. This could lead to you being involved in court action and ultimately to your eviction.
